All I know is my first shot was lungs, bull walked 100 yds in to the timber. Second shot was dead center of heart, bull bedded down but still alive. Capped him. Recovered both round balls inside hide, opposite side. Flat on one side, round on the other.
Dont know how often you visit this State Park, my family typically once a week.( for the last 23 years). It is a routine place to run our dogs and a very scenic location for a walk, check out the actual trails on the map.

Last fresh grizz track i saw was walking up the trail to Expedition Pass in Hilgards. Sheep hunt. We knew there was a sow operating with cubs in that vicinity.

Still a bad idea. There isn't THAT much ground. The Park is divided by a waterway. So the pheasant hunters stay on the popular walk path side unless wading the river.
How about the majority of the people that use the Park daily who are local. No mention of how they would know what's going on where. Sky blasting shot can travel .
