Leupold scopes love or hate em?
With such a short average range almost any model from either company would suffice. A good 3x9 power would be what I would be looking at. Im definitely not an expert on glass, maybe someone else here will chime in with their take. Good luck this season- caddiscrazy

When you shoot the wrong buck...
I was spot and stalk bowhunting whitetails a few years back and had a similar thing happen. I watched two bucks dogging a doe all over the opposite mountain from me most of a morning. I was tucked in above a logging road when I heard them running below me. The doe zipped past and I drew my bow...- caddiscrazy

2026 Colorado draw results
I only have four deer points and two pronghorn points there currently. If i knew I could draw deer in the same area and year as my elk hunt next year I might give it a second thought.- caddiscrazy

2026 Colorado draw results
Plan to use eight points for elk next year in Colorado. I will keep building deer and antelope points there for a few more years. I have points in enough other states that should keep me busy for awhile.- caddiscrazy

western nebraska fire recovery
Does anybody know how well the grass has come back after the fires in western nebraska? I know its early and rain has not been abundant so far. I plan on returning back there this fall for deer and was just curious what you all thought as far as will the deer have returned? I hunted there two...- caddiscrazy

Bear Encounters
For some reason I’m like a black bear magnet haha. I’ve had a lot of encounters with bears over the years. One of the closest was in a younger bear that happened upon me while I was deer hunting with my recurve. The Great HT 2026 weigh in.
I Added back three days of running to my gym workouts and am down 6 pounds. Im hovering in the 195 zone today. I lift five days a week and Im sure i will sacrifice some strength to the running, but I have to get my cardio game back on for turkey season- caddiscrazy

First Pronghorn Hunt - Wyoming
With rebounding antelope numbers after that hard winter die off a few years ago, I cant imagine it being too hard to find a lope. As other s have said, access is going to be the biggest hurdle you have. Be willing to burn some shoe leather and be ready to use your glass. Good luck and let us...- caddiscrazy

Still Hunting Mule Deer in the Mountain West?
I typically do a combo of both. Glass different spots throughout the day and still hunt between them. I dont have the patience to sit in one spot either for hours upon hours. It may be more effective, It is just not my cup of tea- caddiscrazy
