    I also use the luci string lights. They’re great, but man they look like they’ve jumped in cost 2x since I last bought them. There’s gotta be a different option like that. For more light, I also added the Duracell rechargeable lantern from Costco for extra light. It’s a solid setup.

    but actually - my buddy drew his first choice elk permit... he thought he was applying in the gila, but ended up getting a different HD hunt... better lucky than good i guess. Looks like we're exploring new territory in september!

    unfortunately, i think greenhorn spot burned all your best elk spots. you're probably at best looking at 330" class now. 200" mule deer, just find mtmuley's house and hike up the hill behind there. and if you decide you just want to walk into the woods and kill an elk in the first 5 minutes...
