A very good hunter I know always told me that 280 is a sweet spot for compound bows. Between broadhead flight, penetration, noise, and trajectory it seems like a great place to be at if your at a 28+ draw length.- CaptainChilders

Notice I said “Dodge” not “Duck” At 240 they literally spin, jump, and run out of the arrows path. Pretty comical actually. Now at 300 that thing is prolly so loud an F350 would probably duck!- CaptainChilders

Anyone load 7MM-08 139LRX with RL-16

How old is too old to apply for physical hunts?
As a fishing guide I would say that 80% of my clients are over the age of 55 with a significant amount over 70. I tell people all the time that they retire way too late. One of the things I hate doing the most is telling clients they can’t come out anymore cause they physically can’t do it.- CaptainChilders

Real World Hunting Setup Velocity?
With a 26.5 draw it’s going to be difficult to achieve speeds into the 280+ range. I’ve seen deer dodge my wife’s bow at 30 yards at 240 fps. Everyone has their own opinions and needs but i feel like 240 is to slow unless your shooting hogs out of a tree stand.- CaptainChilders

I have 150 new brass for a 7 Mega by Sherman Wildcats which for those unfamiliar is basically a 7wsm with an improved shoulder. The brass new comes in 30 cal and needs to be necked down.
