Tons of wind and solar on private around my part of the world.
You counting those in your dead cat swinging? Or just wrongly assuming wind and solar is limited to public land?
There's a place for public land outfitters in reasonable numbers. IMO, I would like to see the outfitting industry limit itself on both public and private land. There's little question the resource is being over exploited by outfitters.
It was a fun hunt where everything just fell into place. It was cool watching Jeff shoot that elk. I watched the bullet hit perfectly and knew that elk was dead.
The recovery on both elk was awesome e too. Used Jeff's sled and got his loaded whole with no problem.
What a great day with a good...
Didn't say when I took the collar in today. Hard to know, they've been collaring elk in that unit for a long time. I don't think its really to know what those elk do for any reason other than to kill more of them. They aren't migratory.
I took the 2 incisors in for aging, I'm guessing 10-12+...
Apparently its for a deer study, if that makes sense.
Plus, we give out a ton of commission tags, take one tag from a library, predator board, wyoga, or a music festival, can collar a bunch more.
Heres how an elk hunting post is supposed to work. No, I was too tired, I had to go to church, I was driving.
Woke up at 4 drove to my spot. Found a herd of 100ish, lots of bulls mixed in. The wind was horseshit again, but only 25-30 mph.
Got to 310 yards before the elk started to drift to...
I have a handful of pacnor barrels, all very good. I've recommended them to a few friends, they're all happy with them as well.
200 yards, less than 20 rounds from a new pacnor barrel.
Went out today snooping for a cow elk, 52 degrees and sustained wind 45+ gusts to 80. I live here and the wind today was truly something you have to experience to "appreciate". Hope all the transplants got a good dose of it, this transplant called it good about 11 a.m.
What a joke.
Those prices are hard to know. But there are so few issued for moose, sheep, and goat in every state the amount of funding wouldn't be enough to even pay for fighting fire. Sure a couple sheep tags in Idaho unit 11 maybe worth 300-500k each. The ones in the frank church arent worth anything...
Let me break the news, an income tax on 550,000 wyoming residents, many of whom dont work, will not fund wildfire mitigation on federal lands here.
Any more great ideas? I hope you didn't buy any air Jordan's when you said you should make the NBA.
