Thanks for the replies guys. I looked into Garf a few months ago. They just send the order to QC, they don't keep .309 brass in stock. So I called QC direct and put my name on a list to call me when they make a run. And they only make a run when they get enough orders. Catch 22!
Wish I had...
I'm looking for 50 to 100 pieces of new or slightly used .309 JDJ headstamped brass for my T/C Contender.
I have some formed 444 brass, but would like some with the 309 JDJ headstamp. Let me know if you know where I can find some?
Thanks.
Just read up on the HAMSS regs. Thanks for the info.
ccc23454, that looks like something that belongs in the Cowboys vs Aliens movie! :ROFLMAO:
I have several iron sighted rifle. One is a Rem. 700 ADL, but I'd have to put a rear peep on it (old eyes).
I'll probably never go to Utah. Just...
Seems I heard that Utah is instituting some draw hunts that are iron sighted rifle only. If you were going to put together a rifle for one of these hunts what sights would you use?
Rear peep and some sort of globe front I'm guessing, but which specifically?
To moose, or not to moose. That is the question.
I have been so unlucky in moose draws I am considering giving up. Especially since I can't apply for anything else, except unlimited or x-draws.
I want to take some precise measurements of a wildcat chambered barrel I recently acquired.
Is a chamber cast worth it or will the casting agent shrink enough to make this inaccurate?
Thanks, ismith. I've been keeping an eye out on ebay and the one set in the caliber they wanted as much as a new set of dies costs.
Is you thought that CH isn't worth it any more?
I was in the 82d at Ft. Bragg in the early 80s. I put AK at the top of the list on my "Dream Sheet" for the very same reason - hunting and fishing opportunities!
Thank your son for his service.
Has anyone bought/used CH dies in recent years?
I read on their website there was a change in ownership (not exactly sure what that was) in 2022. I need a set for wildcat caliber and just wondering if the quality is still there.
