    Best song of all time

Hard to pick just a couple DBT/Isbell songs, but The Southern Thing, TVA and Alabama Pines hit particularly close to home. Such is the duality of the Southern thing...

    Best song of all time

This was my wife and my first dance at our wedding. Saw Isbell live in Montgomery, Alabama and it gave me chills. His old stuff with Drive-By Truckers is fantastic, too.

    Best song of all time

I mean, the answer is Stairway but here's my personal nomination:

    I'd bid on that

I vaguely recall a seal flipper pie recipe in one of Michael Hunter's cookbooks. Unfortunately, seal flippers are somewhat tricky to come by in Colorado.

    Vetting a Charter boat

Always a little bit of a crap shoot, but I check Google reviews or reviews on Fishing Booker. Word of mouth is always a good source of local information-- you might ask the folks who run your local marina which charters they trust.

    I'd bid on that

I'm thinking slow cooked in a Dutch oven with red wine and root vegetables. Probably make a decent corned brisket. Or maybe as a confit on toasted sourdough. What say you, @WildWill?

    Are suppressors over rated?

Can confirm. Have set a cheap one on fire on my CZ Bren.

    Are suppressors over rated?

    Interesting, good to know.

    Are suppressors over rated?

You must like the Oculus if you're buying a second one, but what are your thoughts on it? Looking at picking up a rimfire suppressor for a Christensen Ranger and weighing options between the Oculus, Dead Air Mask and SilencerCo Sparrow. The Oculus looked to be twice as heavy as the other two.

Giving my first rifle a makeover

Man, if you can swing it leave your first rifle as-is and buy a new one to customize. You'll appreciate keeping the original intact some day. Good call on the Carbon Six barrel. I was hesitant about them at first but have been blown away by one of their barrels on a .25-6.5PRC. You might...

    Game meat dog food recipes?

No doubt. But, then again, I like my dogs more than I like most people.

    Game meat dog food recipes?

I am (probably rightfully) going to get nuked for this but... we have been known to make homemade bone broth for our bird dogs. Simmer a couple of pounds of neck bones or oxtails, parsley, carrot, celery and a pig's foot in a Dutch oven for 12 hours or so. Comes out looking like something...

    Developing Loads for the .25-6.5PRC

Good to know. I might pick up a pound to toy around with.

    What's on the smoker today?

Smoked beef cheek barbacoa tonight. Braising liquid was half beef broth, half Mexican Coca-Cola, splash of cider vinegar, half a sliced white onion and a couple chipotles in adobo.

    Developing Loads for the .25-6.5PRC

Interesting. How is it for temp stability and on throats?

    Developing Loads for the .25-6.5PRC

I think my addiction to the quarterbore has been well-established on this forum. Started with a sweetheart little .257 Roberts Ackley Improved built on a CZ 550 FS, then this spring had a 25-7PRC built. Shortly after the 25-7 came home, I set about gathering components for a shorter barrel...

    Hammer vs Barnes question???

Hammer's HHTs have been significantly faster and more accurate than the Barnes TTSXs I've loaded. On-game performance is a pretty limited sample size (one whitetail buck, one whitetail doe with the TTSX, two whitetail does with the Hammer) but comparable. Better blood trail with the Barnes...
