Can your hunting rights be bought?

Everyone has a price. Mine would be very high.

Grizzly Bear Attack in Canada Injures Eleven.

They didn't have valid reasons for closing it, so I doubt anything helps to reopen it.

    Tundra or Another F-150

It's hard to talk in general terms when every vehicle seems to be different. Toyota/Lexus is going away from the auto start stop engine function on some models. I guess it's no longer a requirement for the US market. Maybe it didn't really save any gas. Also, on some of the newer Toyota/Lexus...

    Tundra or Another F-150

Yes, auto on and off. Not just auto dim when meeting another car. That’s controlled by the stalk and can easily be turned on or off even if the lights are set to auto. So what I’m saying is it’s easier for me to just flick the stalk than have to set the lights to manual on off when you want to...

    Tundra or Another F-150

4 On mine that’s the auto on function, not auto dim which is turned on or off with the headlight stalk.

rifle for beginner/youth- bolt? single shot? other?

One thing I notice around here is if I hear one shot, I'll hear a second. Sometimes immediately, sometimes 2-3 minutes later, or somewhere in between. Single shots are rare. I shoot 2-3 deer a year and honestly can't remember the last time I shot a deer more than once. I specifically remember...

    Pot town: Decker, MT

My nieces have money for pot but no money to fix flats on their bald tires. Told my Mom to tell them to take a bus next time they call her for money.

    Venting

Unfortunately what you describe is the new country. Large farms being broken up into smaller tracts. Homes going up everywhere. City folks moving to the country and bringing their “city” attitude with them. Used to be 40 acres was a starter farm. Now it’s a large tract. Nothing is like it was...

rifle for beginner/youth- bolt? single shot? other?

Recoil and muzzle blast. 18in barrels are brutal as compared to 20 or 22 inches. I’ve rebarreled two youth M7 708s that weren’t fun for anyone. Bystanders had commented several times about the “magnum” youth rifle when shot next to other 22inch rifles in same cartridge. Of course a suppressor...

Got a Howa mini in 6ARC for my grandkids. Love it and have been using it myself this week.

    Superior 7MM?

I've actually thought about the Mashburn, but I'd probably not go the custom route and just buy a factory rifle. If the WBY, it would probably be a God awful Crown Custom or the like.

    Superior 7MM?

If I ever add a belted 7mm to my lineup, it would be a tossup between the STW and the WBY. Would probably just depend on finding the rifle more than the cartridge.

    Superior 7MM?

It is basically the 280AI in a short action. You can use the same starting reloading data as the internal volume of the cases are so close. It doesn't really do anything the others don't do, but it is unique. If limited to factory loads it probably wouldn't be a great choice.

    Superior 7MM?

For buying a light hunting rifle, I'd watch gunbroker for a good deal on a Kimber in 280AI or a Remington M7 in 7SAUM. Or just about anything you like that comes in a 7-08. I've got hunting rifles in all three. The 7-08 gets the most use, but I really like all three.

    7mm-08 with 1:11 Twist Rate

I have a 10 twist that is great for 120-140s. I would think an 11 twist would be fine for long 120s and normal length 140s but would not want to buy it for the longer 140s might shoot them fine, but might not. Are you sure about the 11 twist? That would be for a very specific use to use that.

    243 energy

Have never tracked a CNS shot regardless of cartridge used. I've also had one of my longest tracking jobs be from a .375 H&H. I'd worry more about bullet quality and placement than I would about what name is stamped on the case or the diameter of the bullet. Most everyone says a .243 is great...
