My lucky year! What a tag to draw.

Hey all, new to hunt talk. After applying for lots of years I finally drew that highly sought after Butte elephant tag. If anyone can point me to a general area I would really appreciate it. Not looking for anyone’s honey hole. Just a good starting point. TIA.

Season ending injury? Don't Ask, Don't Tell

What was even better was that the surgeon walked in wearing muck boots. I had a few questions about that.

Season ending injury? Don't Ask, Don't Tell

Tore my meniscus a couple years ago. Did PT and assigned exercises religiously for 2 months prior to surgery. Ended up needing surgery anyways. Did PT and followed doctors instructions after and have had no issues. If you get surgery, stay awake for it and watch on the screen. Pretty neat to watch.

I just was researching this thread to possibly get some 8x for timber hunting. You guys suck. Now I’m looking at the Nl. I Mostly hunt thicker timber for whitetails but I also have a Colorado deer hunt in the next few years. 16 points right now.

    Montana mountain whitetail

Hard to pass The hardest thing about mountain whitetails is you often only have about 2 seconds to decide if they are big enough before they are gone. I’ve made a couple of mistakes over the years resulting in a lot of F bombs in the middle of the woods. Ground shrinkage is real.

    Montana mountain whitetail

Rattled this guy in this morning. He came in faster than a fat cop trying to get free donuts. Full sprint and hit the skids at 30 yards.
