What makes a "good" hunter?
I would say that someone is good if they can defeat the monsters in solo, and that they can use the potential of their weapons even if not at the perfection yet.- tenthcal

Hunting Trip Ideas / 40th birthday
I would recommend a bird hunt at a nice club with a lodge, add some clay shooting too. You’ll eat and drink well, go out in the morning for some birds, come back and eat, go shoot some clays, then come back and eat dinner and play cards and drink. -

Well shot and that's a lovely pics, big congrats. Slow cook it whole in a beef stock and whatever seasoning you prefer. Then shred into a stew or soup. -

Ballistic Rangefinder
All the rangefinder you mentioned are very good rangefinders. However, you might want to look at the Vortex Fury 5000 AB. I like them a lot. I freehand ranged a tree at 1750 yards the other day, and was able to hit about 2700 off a tree from a tripod. The fact that they have applied ballistics... -

Alaskan Bear vs MT/WY Bear
All North American Brown bears are grizzlies. The Kodiak Browns are just isolated and genetically unique enough to be a different sub species but are still Brown Bears and Grizzlies.- tenthcal

Need recommendations for low budget binos
I have a pair of Athlon Argos G2 UHD and they’re fantastic. They are pretty pricey, but Athlon has some cheaper pairs that could be good for you. -

50 or 45 caliber inline?
Personally, I would go with the .45, should be easier to get than the .50, unless you going to cast your own.- tenthcal
