    7mm mag powder

got to love people that seem to know more about your gun and loads than you do. What makes you think that the max the put in some book is the max you can be safe with? Do you think that they would even get close to a true max in a published book? If you do you are up in the night. Oh well don't...

    7mm mag powder

Not as hot as you would think. It is showing little signs of pressure, but nothing to worry about. I've shot loads you buy off the shelf that show more signs. Everygun is not the same. If I shot it out of my little brothers remington he might be in trouble. Thats why I said I would start a lower...

    7mm mag powder

I have had really good luck with 7828 and h1000. 70 gr. 7828 puts me under a 1" at 2000yds with 160gr. acubonds, muzzle velocity of 3230fps. I would start out around 66 or 67 gr. 70 is pretty hot. 70 gr. of h1000 worked best also, but was only around 3050fps. Either works great with whatever...

    15 Utah Deer Points

I heard they are offering a non-res archery and muzzleloader tag for San Jaun this year. might not hurt to check and see if they offer 2 or more for either. I would rather have this tag than all but a Heneries tag.

If your not going to wait for a heneries tag, I would burn them on a San Jaun or Paunsaugunt tag. You have the chance of something bigger and both units have lots of management bucks that people wont shot. Too bad they don't offer a muzzleloader San Juan tag.

    Whitetail Hunt Help

Thanks for the advice. I have been looking at some of the WMA in western Neb. Not realy looking for a trophy area, just a hunt the 4 of us could do together. Any info on the no-wilderness portions of the units in the Bighorns?

    60 Day Drying Period

Thanks for the photos. I've used the Mekenzi form before, but don't care for their head. Just looking for something more correct. You don't happen to have pics of you archery buck or you buck from wy mounted do you. Would just like to see how they turned out.

    Whitetail Hunt Help

Thanks for the link to Idaho Timber land. looks like I messed up on my first post the NE corner of WY not NW WY. Any one know if we are better off looking in the Blackhills NF or the Thunder Basin Grassland? All I've ever heard about is the Blackhills. Are there many in the Grasslands?

    60 Day Drying Period

Hoping Eli will chime in. Grandma shot a buck 2 years ago that we green grossed at 87 and Netted 85. After drying he grossed 85 and netted below 83. Thinking we are doing something wrong. Maybe he could help us.

    Whitetail Hunt Help

I'm starting to look into a Whitetail hunt for me, dad and 2 brothers. I went on a hunt with a friend in Neb this year, but it was on his families land and it's not something all of us could go do. I do not want to miss any opportunities to look into. So give me some ideas as to what your...

    60 Day Drying Period

Looking at Fin's big antelope and seeing that he stated he dried it wrong for the 60 days got me thinking. What is the best to do with a big buck for the 60 day drying period. How much is normal loss during this time?
