Looking for just a little info on cutting sheds into dog chews. What is your preferred band saw, and what blade TPI would be best. I'd like the throat to be deep enough as well as have some good height. At present i have a Ryobi band saw, but not sure its gonna make the cut for moose paddles.
We would be looking for a a pretty nice buck, if I had to put a score out there say 175" or better. So yeah, we would be passing on quite a number of animals in most cases to find the "right" one. Yes, we eat a lot of tags.
Big woods whitetails. Guess that could apply in many areas of North America. Certainly does here in NW Ontario. Tracking is not a common way to hunt them but certainly doable in the right conditions. I have done a fair bit but my success rate was relatively low. I was much better at calling in...
Which unit would be considering? Am a non-resident that has a fair bit of experience and all the gear. I am looking at units that would take almost max points. Spring weather, winter severity impact? PM me if you want to chat and not have unit numbers discussed on searchable forum. I have an...
Draw odds will improve a little. Economic impact is going to be huge for many folks. States that have their draws later like Wyoming and Colorado will be affected. Places like Utah will not be affected at least for applicants. I was going to apply in N Mexico but decided not too because of the...
Well this corona virus crap is really throwing a wrench into things. Cdn dollar down to 71.5 from 75 in just a few days. My Africa hunt in April in doubt. I think I'll take a pass on the draw this year, the investment of time researching NM will have to wait until next year hopefully.
Favorite fishing species, lakes and tactics? That is tough to decide. I sure do love getting out in the boat fishing for walleye and smallmouth bass. So for walleye, slip bobber rigs floating through light current areas with tail hooked minnow. Watching that float disappear never get's old. Top...
Access is a bit limited, a lot of private land and the unit is a bit crowded but still very good hunt. I would get out and hunt and not worry about getting more points. A few more points will not get you anything much different quality wise. I hunted 32 for my first goat 15 yrs ago or so. I got...
No. Leave Cuddy's alone. Worst camera's ever but that was many years ago. They do not allow or support independent testing. Can not believe they still are in business. So sad how pathetic quality control is in this industry. If browning continues to get good reviews here that will be my next...
Moultrie is hit and miss. So many Misses that it is not worth considering them anymore. I have had best luck with Bushnell. Spypoints have been pretty dissapointing last few years as well.
I have a shit ton of sports cards passed down to me from my father, every sport and cards going back to 1912. Anyway, not many or worth a heck of a lot. Back around 2000 or so we sold some of the most valuable cards. Best way is to get them graded, so that buyer has idea what he/she is getting...
I am interested in proposals for a hunt swap. I can provide high quality whitetail hunt on private and public land in NW Ontario. Expectation would be a 140 to 155 inch buck and success rate on 7 days of stand hunting over bait if I move you around based on my trail cams and scouting should be...
