Elk Ranch Hunts Again Legal in Montana?
I checked with a couple of other guys who went to the Hunter's Show in Houston.... apparently there is an injunction on enforcing any I143 law until the case before the Montana Supreme court is resolved (I presume it is the Wallace case), so the court apparently has not ruled yet. That's why I posted..... I was curious if it was true. I don't reckon that the operator was trying to drum up business in Houston this last weekend if he could not deliver the goods. It was the Yellowstone Ranch, near Sidney. :confused: -

I'm glad to see Wallace go down fighting whether he loses or not. Montana's law is confiscation without compensation plain and simple. Len Wallace (like him or not) is standing up for a number of game ranch owners who do not have the financial resources to fight the state in this case. What... -

Tom - the place is the Camp Cooley Ranch and they were running cow eland specials last summer for $750. I hunted the place in October of '00 and my son took a 3 year old bull for $900 (I think)... The Eland
I paid $900 for that eland. It was taken on a property in east central Texsas about 2 hours NW of Houston. It was a 3 year old bull, and there were older ones on the property for the same price. Eland shoulder mount

How do I mount my trophy heads on the wall?
I just got eland and wildebeest heads back from the taxidermist and I forgot how BIG those animals were (I've also got a red stag coming in about a month). How on earth do I mount them on the wall - I know I've got to find a wall stud, but these things are 40+lbs and even a big nail may not be...- Raveneaux

neat Nilgai pictures.
I bought a 6' hog spear from the Cold Steel company. This was after I was getting ready to knife a hog when the catch dog let go - we suddenly had a REALLY pissed off 200 lb boar with 2 1/2" teeth in our faces...
