200 is the farthest north we can after June 15. I really wanted to get up there earlier, but we can't leave NC until May 30. Do you have any experience in unit 200? Or do you have any recommendations?
Unit
200 and 216 have the highest number of bears harvested. Not sure which units have the highest concentration of bears. Do you have any recommendations? We are limited to units that close June 15th (200, 216, 240, 280, 290, 316, 317, and 341)
Thanks. I'd love to be up there earlier, but my buddy's daughter graduates high school the week before and that is the earliest we can go.
Do you know much about about that area? If it is warm should we focus on chasing the snow line to higher elevations?
My only experience hunting bears...

I’m starting to plan an Alaskan Hunt for next season and I would like some input. I hunted spring black bear in PWS in 2008 and I’m not sure whether to stick with spring bear or go for a fall hunt. I had bounced around the ideal of doing a fall bear/deer hunt. I guess my question is which is...
You might be able to find a little help on kentuckyhunting.net I know a lot of those guys would love to help out on that hunt just because they can't get drawn. I would recomend posting something on there. Good luck
We are planning a two week trip to MT for mulies and elk. We are going to hunt mulies at the CMR for the first part of the trip then swing through the western part of the state and hunt elk for the last 3 days or so. We have narrowed it down to three area: Big Belt, Little Belt, or Crazy...
I've seen a lot of Elk in Redbird WMA, but that is unit 6. Sorry I just saw with unit you are hunting. You might want to try the eastern sectio nof Corrigan WMA, where it butts up to Redbird. There is also an area in the northern section of the unit. Its right above hwy 1096 on the link...
