    Montana Mule Deer District 270

:) He looks even bigger as a Euro! Nice work Sir! I'm surely not the professional you are but I would have to agree that he met you at his peak, antler-wise. (y)

    Definition of a raghorn

In my circles a raghorn is a bull that is 2 1/2 years old.....or his second set of antlers.

    Mother nature is a bitch!

This is both amazing and harsh. To witness such an event in nature is really one in a million but to witness the brutality of nature is sobering....or at least it should be. Thanks for sharing this!

    Wife's pronghorn

That is a cool buck! Nice work on bringing it back to life(y)...love the frontal view on him with the ears back. I love doing Antelope mounts. They are the prettiest and the easiest to work with....of course that being said, I still cant put one together as nice as this one

    2019 WA archery whitetail

That is a great buck and how cool to have his sheds. It amazes me how they can change configuration from one year to the next and sometimes stay very similar. Nice work!!

    30 inches?

I would guess he is fairly close to 30" on the outside widest point but wow, who cares! I would shoot at him...I'd likely miss, but I'd shoot!:)

Got my 2019 Elk back - Guess the score

My guess would probably fall in the 340's. Also, as a hobby taxidermist, I can say I am not a fan of that form. Is it me or the pics that make his neck way too long and skinny...? Beautiful bull and cape! Just my opinion obviously but that form does not do that great bull justice.

    Interesting reaction to the shot

I have seen this reaction before and it does seem to be specific to Antelope....from my experience...Deer and Elk tend to have the "buck and kick" reaction but Antelope will occasionally stand up on their hind legs...idk..?

    Solo Elk Hunting

I am of the philosophy that you don't know what you are capable of until you are forced to do something. Few people curl up into the fetal position after getting an elk down and realizing its going to be a big job. We just go to work and I'm sure that's what you will do too. Bottom line is I...

    Solo Elk Hunting

Most on here will offer you very good tips and suggestions so I will just offer this....know your physical and mental limitations.;) Elk are huge and it is easy to get caught up in the pursuit and find yourself with an elk down beyond your ability to haul him out. If you are the type of person...

    Already Home

:sneaky: Nice! That is one of those "framey" bucks that would initiate the adrenaline release which then in turn causes immediate loss of rational thought consequently ending with me in the fetal position wondering what just happened.....but that's just me.

    Mule Deer Score

    well....its official...I know nothing about scoring if that's a 114" buck!

SOLO? IS IT POSSIBLE WITH ELK?

You must be a beast!💪 Packin elk out of the high country and you don't work out!?😲 I workout all year long as a lifestyle and I still have to grunt pretty hard hauling elk out. I'm impressed!!:)
