Shovelers
They are beautiful in full plumage, but they usually plume out late so it's fairly uncommon to see them during duck season. Along with their highly variable eating qualities, and the goofy looking bill they just aren't high on my list. But I'll shoot them if circumstances align.- jrabq

Yes, I totally get this. Some people just basically want a pure preference point system, especially if they have max points. I thought one of the proposals from the working group was to replace the MSG weighted point system with a standard bonus point system. 2018 Hunted this one several days (archery) before I shot this one, "after" This year I'm just aiming to burn my elk points on a 1st rifle hunt, should draw unless point creep is >3. And I guess I'll have 1% chance at a sheep tag.- jrabq

If you have money to burn then go for it, but as others have mentioned you're probably better off saving up for Alaska or Canada. Starting out now your sheep odds in most states won't even be 1%, it'll be more like 0.1%, or 0.01%! You can sometimes get similar odds spending a comparable amount...- jrabq

Small outboard- Suzuki v. Merc. v. Yamaha
My only comment is that unless you are legally limited to a 9-10 hp, consider paying a bit more for a 15 or 20, which is almost always the same engine (same weight and displacement) with the 9-10 being just limited by carburetor an/or air intake. Difference in cost is usually just a few 100 bucks.- jrabq
