30-06 Recommendations
Tikka, you won’t be disappointed. You can get one of the models unthreaded and have it threaded for around 800 but if you want one threaded from the factory it is a little nicer model and I believe it is around 1100. -

Hunting Clothes and scent control
Play the wind like others have said. It is really the only thing close to a sure deal. However saying that I’m still going to wash my clothes in a scent killer or scent away detergent of some kind then try to dry it outside. That is about as far as I go anymore. Too much more than that in my... -

Wool hunting clothing
I still wear mine on hunts that don’t require a ton of movement. Mainly because they just don’t seem to last as long as the synthetics. But I’ve heard great things about the toughness of the new Sitka armor wool base layer being incredibly tough for wool.- IAbowhunt

Tape at the end of barrel?
The tape works really good for an easy solution to keeping debris and water out of the barrel. There other options from go hunt and son other company’s that are small rubber boots or neoprene covers now as well.- IAbowhunt
