Tikka, you won’t be disappointed. You can get one of the models unthreaded and have it threaded for around 800 but if you want one threaded from the factory it is a little nicer model and I believe it is around 1100.

I still wear mine on hunts that don’t require a ton of movement. Mainly because they just don’t seem to last as long as the synthetics. But I’ve heard great things about the toughness of the new Sitka armor wool base layer being incredibly tough for wool.
The tape works really good for an easy solution to keeping debris and water out of the barrel. There other options from go hunt and son other company’s that are small rubber boots or neoprene covers now as well.
Go with the 50 if you plan on hunting in any states that carry more restrictions and for availability of components. But if you are looking to stretch out your effective range and get a flatter shooting gun then the 45 is your ticket.
I have had a pair of Thor’s for going in their 3rd year and they are my favorite pair of boots I’ve owned. I also have crispy summits and kennetrek mountain extremes and each have their place but if you just want a great all around boot they are a darn tough one to beat imo
