Nice deer, most people in the Hills unit wouldn't pass that one up. There are bigger but as said, fewer and farther between. I shot a 144 with bow a few years ago. Live weight would have been at or over 200. He was probably 5-6 yrs old. Yours would be in that area. I've seen a 25" whitetail...
Heck, i checked standings yesterday and Redwings were #1 in Division. I don't think I'll check again until we get to playoffs so I can live my fantasy a little longer. I noted the Wild were not doing so well but its early. Maybe they can pick up some pointers from the Vikings? JK
I think if you do not have witnesses or the other side has more, you need irrefutable proof that it happened. IE your cell phone video which would probably escalate the situation. Other than that, its a he said, he said deal.
Has anyone noticed the folks with the most knowledge have the least amount of post. I'm glad they are here because apparently a lot of us are just wandering around silly like.
I guess if you can shoot muzzies that far accurately and with enough energy, it is time to kill off any special muzzy seasons? Someone somewhere will use the chart you just printed on a public forum to probably lobby for such a change. Kudos to the game départements that keep muzzle loader...
Check the ballistics to see if you should even be considering taking 250-300 yds shots. To me that is equivalent to taking 800-1000 yds shots with your rifle. Your ethics are yours, I guess.
Go to an archery club and visit with folks and check out the bows. People will most likely let you shoot their bows. Don't get too tied up with poundage, shoot what's comfortable, not what others think you need. My 12 yr old daughter had a pass through on an elk at 42 ibs. Accuracy is more...
I assume that is a ramrod thimble? I had one come out but did not seem to have too much problem putting it back in. Might be like a site dovetail and only goes in from one side? Persistence. Looks like you could squeeze it together and put it in ?
