    I started to read this because I thought it was a joke. It wasn't! I always wait to turn on the irrigation pump as late as humanly possible. I'd rather fish, turkey hunt and look for elk sheds in the spring, but I guess you do you! You guys sound like an episode of "King of the Hill". :)

    I have that same rod and I love it! Not a rocket launcher, more of a finesse rod. Super light and will even through a double taper 3 wt. line. I'm a 4 wt. guy and have 3 other Scott 4 wts. and a Fisher Original 9' 4 wt., so I like the slow/moderate action rods. My other 4 wts. are 2 piece...
