    They told you the rifle you have is a “newer model / make” Are you sure Buds sent you an Alpine MT rifle? They were discontinued in 2017. All of them that I’ve seen have been cerakoted.

    That weight difference is all in the stock. Barrel and lightened action are the same. The LAW stock on the Alpine rifle is far superior than the hogue stock.

    Yep, The dealer has to keep the sale date on record. I had to go back to my dealer for that info to get warranty work on a Sig. I’d go to your dealer to get a copy of the sale.

    Eastern Montana or SD archery?

    Northwest SD is great for hunting speed goats. Lots of walk in land. It's a little tough with archery because the grass is so short. Last year when we went they wouldn't come into our decoys like previous years. You can buy the archery tags online.
