I went up there for the first time last year. Snow can be bad or the heat can be bad. The first time may be simply learning how to avoid the other hunters. Another feel good Idaho elk story
That is 50 elk in a 1 mile by 2 mile stretch of land. Or put another way that is one elk for every 400 yard by 400 yard square of land.
