    Bison Calber

I've got a Winter Bison tag for Northern Arizona. I am looking to use my .300 WinMag with 180g TTSX or 165g Nosler Accubonds. Does this sound like a reasonable caliber and bullet choice for Bison? Do I need to go bigger, say a 200g bullet? Thoughts from the group would be appreciated.

    The Mossback's Survive

Here in AZ, we have a late season hunt that runs from mid December to the end of January. The tags for the area are OTC. I didn't buy one this year because it's a new area for me and I'd rather scout thoroughly before venturing out on a hunt. While scouting I found a water hole that's not on...

    Mulie or Whitetail?

Belsha, That's classic Whitetail. Your other picture posted afterwards confirms my opinion. That's all Whitetail.

    AZ Unit 15A

Scouted this unit this week. 11 deer total seen. one buck, who needs a couple more years to develop. But, all were very healthy looking.

    Leupold SX-1 Ventana Soft Cover

I have the above scope in 15-45 x 60. It's served me well since purchasing it. I am however a little frustrated because I cannot seem to find a soft cover for the scope. Does anyone have any idea where I could find one?

    AZ Unit 15A

Well, I wish I had a picture, but the guy camping near me just brought in a Bull elk from this unit that green scored 396, 8 x 7, one broken point on each side. That was impressive.

    AZ Unit 15A

Unit 15A seems to be a unit that only allows limited hunting. Youth hunts, archery only for some species, etc. Am I missing something, or is there broader hunting available in this unit?

    Remington UMC Ammo, 300 BLK

Hey All, Just came back from the range after the initial firing of my newly built 300 BLK. Found something I've never experienced before in 40 years of shooting. A full 70% of the rounds had a complete primer ejection on firing. For the initial test fire, I was using Remington UMC 120g OTFB...

Northern California Pig Hunting: Sonoma County

NorCal, I lived, worked, and hunted for years in that area. There's a lot of private land in Sonoma. If you want some better Public land access, give Lake Co a try. Cow Mountain, Bartlett Springs, and Jerusalem Valley have good pig numbers and a lot of public land in either BLM, USFS land...

    Best boot dressing

I've been using Granger's Paste Wax. So far, I've been very pleased. I use them on my Lowa boots and have yet to come back with wet feet.

Thank You My Brother's and Sister's in Arms

It's this weekend we all remember the sacrifices of our military and we cannot forget their families. When we're gone, they go through hardships and difficulties that are not expressible. So, this weekend, I want to say thank you to the men and women of our great military and the backbone that...

    The Good 'Ol Days

Semper Fi to your father and to all my other brother's and sister's in arms. You fight for all of us and we owe all of them a debt of gratitude. Whether said or not, you all are in our hearts. I know the spouses who remain at home go through a tremendous amount when we're gone. Without them...
