Haven’t heard of this but this guy is getting 2965fps with the factory ELDX ammo in a 24” tube. I just had a 22” 7PRC built so hopefully I didn’t get sold snake oil. The snake oil I bought into was that these newer cartridges have smaller tolerances and it’s much easier to get really tight...- Big Sky Guy

Judging size of a bear
I would say whatever distance you can get a good look at the bears face. I would think within 1k yards with a good spotter would be reasonable for most with practice. I hope you corrected one of the sins of society and packed them 6 to a pack instead of 5 like you get in the grocery store. Ours always come out fantastic but have the number of brats match the number of hoagies/buns is just the cherry on top.- Big Sky Guy
