    Thanks for responding on threading thread. I'm also thinking about getting a new stock on my Howa 1500, something a little more lightweight and raising the cheek rest in the back. Not sure if that's something in your wheelhouse as well?

    I want to get a suppressor for my Howa 1500, 30-06. Does anyone recommend any gun smiths in Utah County, Utah for treading the barrel to accept a suppressor mount? Also does anyone know the ballpark cost to get that done?

    No antelope tags for me or my brothers or Dad. I'm starting to think GoHunt really has no idea on their draw odds and I'd be better off without it. At least I wouldn't get my hopes up when they said my odds were 100%.

    40-60 gators a night seems like it would be awesome. The logistics of boats and gear is why we figured we'd hire a guide and probably even just do a private land hunt. The main goal is to get Henry a good experience so he'll be more more interested in hunting deer and elk with us out here.

    I'm fine with it being louder and sediment doesn't bother me as I'm not usually hunting in the desert but I hadn't thought of that possible drawback. I'd like to reduce the recoil and since I usually end up hunting alone have a better ability to track the shot through my scope.
