Eating Carp...yay or nay?

$2,000 budget but need help proritizing equipment purchases
I would add a good primaloft down coat (Kuiu,Sitka, many others)---so wonderful when sitting glassing, also, I really like a cheap seat pad to sit on when glassing. Maybe add a tripod to your glassing setup. Comfortable glassing makes a huge difference to me in the elk and mule deer... -
Late Season Pants
I love the Kuiu Guide pants. Super tough, and absolutely plenty warm in whatever conditions, especially with a great base layer. Almost too warm in a lot of climbing conditions with a base layer underneath. I love that I can wear no base layer during a lot of November days and feel plenty...- AH_14

Kifaru Universal gunbearer https://store.kifaru.net/universal-gun-bearers-p197.aspx I'm not sure Fin uses this exact one but I put one of these on my pack a couple weeks ago and it works great, my pack is not a Kifaru, Mystery Ranch, or Stone Glacier and it fits just about right and works good.- AH_14

If you were starting fresh and wanted to live out west... Where would you go?
Missoula and Bozeman yes absolutely! Both have big colleges that make them feel a lot bigger than they are. Helena and even Great Falls I'd consider if you were able to find a good job......Heck, I think about moving to Great Falls a lot and I'm born and raised Southwest Montana.....Buy a home...- AH_14

Wondering how many on here use Rifle Scope Covers of any kind and what kind you feel work best? I have always used the Butler Creek flip covers and I like them ok.... Kuiu Guide Jacket Sizing?
