I am looking at getting a Zeiss scope on the used market, but the one I am looking at has the M-rail built into the scope itself with a Blaser saddle mount attached to it. Since I don't have a Blaser rifle, this mount is no use for me. I will be looking to put the scope on top of my Savage Model 14 .308. Does anyone have any knowledge of the M-rail that's found on some of these European scopes, and more importantly, familiar with mounting options onto a Picatinny or Weaver-style rail on my rifle? I've heard that there's an adapter, at least that's what the guy at Zeiss told me. I just wanted to see my options if I choose to pursue this scope.
