Wyoming Unit 55

They used to give tours of the original Rawlins jail. As far as this area, some of the best B&C trophy antelope have been taken from the Carbon County area. The food, water and habitat is some of the best for antelope.

The original Rawlins jail is now part of the court house. It was virtually escape proof, surrounded by steel plates and hotter than hell. I work for the Wyoming State Archives so I had to pick up records there a few years back. If you can tour that place, you might become claustrophobic for a spell. Hotter than hell and no windows.

That sounds miserable, maybe we should go back to that type of jail. It sure would put a damper on crime.
