Considering going the last week of September with my crossbow.

Can someone help me decide dates to hunt A? I've been go back n fourth on two scenarios and can't decide, maybe someone who's been there before can help me out a bit?

Option 1- get out there Saturday night and have two days to scout before rifle opener on Tuesday the 1st. Have 3 full days to hunt and make it back for MN opener on the Saturday the 5th.
Option 2- get out there on the 14th of November and have 5 full days to hunt. Later would probably be better for the rut, but fear pressure may push game of public to private land.
It's going to be a on your own public land hunt, not interested paying trust pass fees.
Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks.

If you only have 5 days out there, the choice would be easy for me and I'd be hunting all 5 days later, especially if you're looking for a mule deer buck during the main rut time that would probably be going.

later, that's the week I normally hunt it, but have other weeks. both species will be chasing does. never really notices a difference in pressure between weeks but thanksgiving week will be a little more busy.

Anyone thinking archery in Region A ? I have been recommended to try archery if hunting the public land.Last week of September looks pretty good for less pressure.
