Wyoming Deer Unit 79

Hope everyone is doing well in this application season! Does anyone have any knowledge/experience hunting unit 79 for deer? I keep going back in forth whether to hunt region R on a general unit or 79 Limited Entry..my sons and I have only 1 pref point. Is the hunting pressure as bad as general units? This would be a rifle hunt, we aren’t trophy hunters...thanks for any advice you guys can give me.

I've only hunted a very small part of 79, and it was for elk. One thing to keep in mind is that although it is limited entry for deer, there is also a rifle cow elk season going on, and that is also a prime area for moose. We actually saw more moose hunters than deer and elk hunters the couple of times I've been there.

Overall I would say the hunting pressure was not bad, mostly road traffic. We saw a couple 130-140 type bucks, but we spent most of our time in the thick blowdown mess of timber, not a ton of time glassing the edges for deer.
