I have driven through the Green River area area and have seen numerous large/ trophy antelope in plenty of concentration. A friend who is a resident of Pinedale shot an excellent goat in a neighboring unit. I don’t know if it’s the #1 unit in Wyoming for biggest goats but it has plenty of big goats and it’s a hard choice to make given the demand of 9+ points. My assumption is that you will have plenty of opportunities to harvest a trophy animal on plenty of public land and if you don’t come home with an animal we would all put on the wall it’s because you didn’t want to squeeze trigger. I suspect that will not be the case. Maybe reaching out to the few land owners in the area for info To confirm might be a good approach and following up with the local biologist as you’re doing would be of additional help.
