The past several weeks my wife and I have been doing some thinking about what we would do if there was ever an emergency in the area. I guess you could say that it may have been sparked by a TV program but the matter of the fact is that we live in Cali and I have been through more than one major earthquake. The worst was the "89 Loma Prieta quake. While I am not a "prepper" as the show depicts we do have some things stored away "just in case".
One of those things is a 3-5 day supply of dehydrated/freeze dried food. The majority is Mountain House with a few MRE's mixed in. We have recently found WISE Company freeze dried foods and I must say they are the best tasting dehydrated food I have ever eaten.
I was wondering what others here are using on backpacking trips and have you tried the Wise brand? If not, you might want to try it.
If you are not familiar with Wise, check them out. You can also get a free sample to see for yourself.
