Where is the "optics bar" set for you when it comes to rifle scopes?

For my common guns I always go to Redfield made by Leupold now

for hunting Leupold, the dollars you mention will get you a good one when there is a sale. For target shooting (
long range) the prices go way up so you have to do your homework before you spend the money on a good target scope

I own 3 VX2's and one VX3 and several Nikon Buckmaster.All are good scopes. Anyone of these should last a lifetime.My new favorite is the Leupold VX2 3-9x50 with heavy Duplex. ,great hunting scope.Plenty of light gathering and clarity.The heavy duplex is great option for a hunting scope.

Set it and forget it? Or turrets?
