When Are the Choke Cherries Ripe???

Just curious if it will fall in a bear season here in MT. I found two chokecherry patches while whitetail hunting that had about 100 piles of bear shit around each one!

I think ours are are ripe like in August/September.

Ours were ripe around the end of Sept.

Hmmm, that may work, if they get into September at all. I think the season opens Setp. 15th or so.
