LOL no my trusty Matthews. The crossbow would be for my wife and son (at least until he is old/big enough to pull 40-50lbs)

Alright, figured I'd go to the group. I'll start by saying I don't really "need" any of these LOL. I hunt primarily with my wife and son, and spend more and more time getting them on animals than I do myself. I currently have a 6.5 PRC (Browning x-bolt), 300 PRC (Christensen Ridgeline FFT) and a 6mm Creed (Ruger). My son shoots the 6.5 just fine and has shot the 300 suppressed with no issues. We live in KY so mainly Turkey and Deer for us around here. Got a .410 Mossberg with a red dot last year for Turkey. I have a sandhill crane hunt coming up in Jan in TX and no gun for that but could likely borrow one as I don't really waterfowl hunt. We have gone to Africa the past two years and might go next year (won't be hunting buffalo though).

375, I don’t even have one, but I’d still say 375.

Potentially increasing opportunities for your son and wife would be a no-brainer for me if I were in your position.

Those are wildly different choices. Based on what you have I would narrow down to 3. It depends on what you have in mind and different scenarios

1. 22 Creedmoor if you want to do some predator hunting.
2. The crossbow if you have a need for your son. If it is something he is wanting to do or get into.
3. The 375 or other big bore. If you have plans for dangerous game hunting.

I personally don't see the benefit of 31/2" shells over 3". I'd stick with your shot gun that shoots 3". Not enough gain in the 31/2" for the extra recoil imo.

Nothing like getting blown on your ass to make you scared of guns for a while LOL (thinking of 7 year old me the first time my uncle handed me the 12ga thinking it would be funny)
