Apparently you can come to Montana and poach giant bulls in a limited entry unit for only a few thousand dollars. Here's the kicker, you can come back and legally hunt them next year. Hooray!!!!

It's a little more complicated than that in that they are rich and own the land where they committed the violation of hunting without a license. About the only way to have taken care of that situation would have been to have taken their hunting priviledges away for a few years, but it didn't happen. It sucks , but that's what the rich get away with sometimes.

From the results we are starting to see with Mt. Game & Fish trial prosecution, it looks like the G&F better quite using first year lawyers out of Missoula. They are getting their butts, as well as their reputation pretty well spanked.

They either don't have very stiff evidence or their legal people are starting to be satisfied with any little trivial fine. NOT GOOD!

"Mt. Game & Fish" doesn't have a "trial prosecution team"; county attorneys prosecute any violations committed within their respective county.

The evidence an attorney can prosecute on is only as good as the FWP game wardens collect...
