Weaver Optics Warranty is garbage

I've had a Weaver Grand Slam 3-10x40 on my 270 for 6 years or so. It's been hunted hard, and it's been a great scope until this last winter. It fogged internally. I sent it in for it's lifetime warranty service.

6 weeks later receive the scope back with a letter stating the scope has abused and is not covered under warranty. What a garbage warranty. Leupold Gold Ring will be it's replacement.

When Meade bought Weaver I was afraid their "warranty" issues would transfer. It's a shame.
