Weatherby Vanguard Wilderness and Backcountry

Does anyone have any experience with these rifles? I found the Wilderness on sale new for $770 in 30-06 and am very tempted.

I have a couple Weatherby vanguards and love them. Very accurate and easy sub MOA

whoa that is tempting! I have a Vanguard s2 stainless in 7mm and it is very accurate, but a bit hefty. The wilderness shaves a pound I believe. Sounds about perfect to me.

Yes, it's 6.75 pounds for the Wilderness. Which isn't exactly a light weight mountain rifle, but should be about right for a 30-06 I think.
