I read on another forum about spraying your backpack with a sealer. I never thought of that before. I guess if you're caught out in the rain it might be a good idea. Does anyone do this?

I have,,sprays help a little but out here in Oregon if its light rain,,,heavy steady rain not so much,,spray silicon or other spray sealer/scothguard is what I use.I would love to get a gor-tex bag if kuiu made one.

Get a pack cover, works well, but nothing will keep it dry for extended periods of rain . Spays helps a little, but I haven't had much luck with them. Thinking of trying some of that hydrophobic spray this year.

Mystery Ranch now recommends "RUST-OLEUM® NeverWet® Fabric Water Repelling Spray – CLEAR" for their packs.
