First of all, a big thanks to Schmalts here for getting me a 2-12 VX6 w/duplex reticle promptly after ordering. He also made me a killer deal @ $799 delivered...by far the best I've seen anywhere. I'll be ordering more Leupolds from him.
Just a few short thoughts. I just got it mounted last week and haven't shot it yet. I have made some comparisons to other scopes though. The glass is better than my VX3 3-10x40, Conquest 3.5-10x44, and Conquest 3-9x40. I cannot tell any difference between it an my neighbors 3-12 Swaro A . I compared them in good light and at dusk and dusk-thirty. I am very impressed with the glass in the VX6....it's outstanding and very bright. Where it really shines is in the eyebox department. It is the most user friendly variable scope I've ever owned, and I've owned lots of 'em over 39 yrs of hunting. Even at higher power (12x) the VX6 is very easy to get behind and use. The FOV is outstanding also, better than all of the scopes mentioned.
