Leupold BX-4 Rangefinding Binoculars

Vintage firearms

Absolutely lovely ending to the story, and I agree 100% with your approach. I wouldn't fire that pistol either, and I think waiting to find the right care-taker is the perfect way to go.

Nicely done!

. What a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing it with us.

We have some old firearms that my grandfather owned, then my dad, then me, then my son/daughter, and the plan is for them to go to my grandchildren with instructions for them to go to my great grand children. I hope that happens.

rmyoung1, thank you so very much, love these type of stories

Old Colt revolvers remain a part of our history. Many have quite colorful stories behind them, such as the one given.

Alas, i find myself lusting after the Model 54 listed. It would be fine company for my 1861 Harpers Ferry, and Model 64 Comemorative in 32 Rem Special.

I can't tell from the picture if it's a carbine, or standard grade.
From the looks of the stock, it was carried on many a hunt.

Alas, my bank account has the final say, and right now it's telling me that fine specimen is going to a different owner than I.
