Got Ranger out for a quail hunt today. They do really well here in the blackberry thickets. They run a lot but eventually hold. Lots of action!

It was a nice day to be outside in Oregon (no rain). You made the most of it.

Is that the Powder River?
 
Wow, what a nice mess of birds. Looks like great sport. Looks like chukar country too.
 
That is the Powder River. It empties into the Powder River Arm of Brownlee Reservoir on the Snake.
Those are deer on the skyline. Some are here year round but we have more in the winter.
It is prime chukar country. Numbers are down this year in this general area. In the spring it looked like a good hatch out on the reservoir but it was spotty in my area.
