Unit 81 Truillo Reservior

Anybody hunted/camped in the Truillo reservior area unit 81 between Chama NM and Antonito Colorado. Been in the northern part of the unit, but not southern.

fireroad leads out towards Red Lake trail which i believe is in a wilderness area. Please send me a PM if you've been out there.

I have just day hunted out of there. There are elk but not a lot there from the times i have been there. But there are elk... Steep country in a lot of areas. I always wondered what it would be like if you spiked up that creek that feeds into the lake about 3 miles and hunted from there. If you look at maps and would hike up high from there you would get into a lot of ponds near timberline.
I have seen a lot more elk in the red lake area.

You gonna do an 81 otc season Brandon? I can tell you one thing...they are most likely all a year older.
