My daughter and I drew the Unit 45 buck tag. Looking for info good places to go etc if any one has any to share. My daughter will probably shoot any decent buck. I am going to try and hold out for a big one.

I'd probably shoot the first decent 4 point you saw, otherwise be prepared to eat the tag. You should be able to find a 3 point for your daughter if you guys hike hard. ;)

twsnow- your giving that unit too much credit :D

klsmith- you'll have a fun hunt, the deer are everywhere low to high and no place is much better than another.

Good luck, stick around and post some pics

why welcome to the site where ya from how ya doing.....shoot the first 2 point ya see :)

All good points. I probably won't be real picky! because I to know "you can't eat horns".

Be as picky as much as you can...It may be a long time before you draw that tag again! Good luck! Wish I had your problem.

I have NEVER drawn that tag, and I am guessing I have put in for it more than 20+ years.

That tag is "worth" $10k, easily, if it was on the open market.

And, I did see a 30" forked horn come out of that unit. Thing was a beast....

Good luck.

That would be cool to see. Last November while bird hunting I saw a buck that I am fairly certain was as big as any than I may ever see again. Maybe there is a leftover tag with your name on it. ;)
