Unexpected Game Cam Pix…

Back in 2019 out Rosie scouting with my buddy John we found an amazing generational elk trail we followed to a cool meadow ! Attachment-1.jpegAttachment-1.jpeg

Coming back to get the camera before the archery opener only to find they logged it …. Aaaagh , I looked but no luck

Later in the middle of season we were in the area and John had the tree we hung the camera on marked on his ONX waypoint , we looked again , holy crap !!!

The option menu on the inside of the camera was cracked and no longer usable, the protective outer lens over the camera lens was broken but not the camera main lens. It still works and takes great pics , my only regret is I didn’t save any of the pics it took as the logging operation approached my camera, but I did save this pic from the card . Maybe my best trail cam pic all time

This is going to be a very interesting journey - I'm going to keep this thread updated with pix as we go along. I went out to the Lease this morning and talked to the crew doing the logging. Really, really nice guys and the Deer Driver is a hunter. He saw the game cam and said to the foreman "oooh, that camera has an antenna on it. I wonder how long it will be before the hunter shows up."

Answer: 48 hours. LOL. We all got a big laugh out of it.

I have two cams on the property - the Driver found them both and took extra special care to leave those trees standing - which is way cool. They told me to leave them in place - which means I can also remotely monitor the property and see how it's affecting wildlife.

Here's Deer 1, next to the salt block:

And here is a properly confused Coyote working its way along...

The Basement has an old nice buck wandering around. I'm pretty sure from some other pix I have that is the 10-12 point buck that was wandering around.

Another pic of him in full rut:

Either way...it's going to be super fun to see how this area changes over time...

Unexpected visitor for the location of this camera in South Central Wisconsin
So cool you found your camera. I have another cam buried in the basement somewhere from a tree that fell over. I doubt I will ever find it again.
