Turkeys And Classic Shotguns

Half the fun of any hunt is the firearm you will use. Every year it is always a dilemma to determine which gun goes where. I bought a nice old Daw SXS shotgun a couple years ago and I really wanted to get a turkey with it. It is a round body, back action 12 bore with 2 1/2 inch chambers. It is a beautiful gun made in the 1860's. We called these 2 Toms into shotgun range and I took the bird with round of 7 1/2 shot...

That's a beautiful double gun! Not too often someone shoots a bird with 7-1/2 shot.
