Turkey Tips in New Mexico

Hello, I am relatively new to bow hunting and was going to try and bag a turkey this month for New Mexico's OTC fall turkey season. I am just looking for any tips or advice that could help me along the way. thank you in advance. If you are familiar with New Mexico I am going to head up to the campground passed bonita lake.

Talk to the Forest Rangers, there are quite a few spots you can't hunt. It's great country past the lake though. I've been trying to get a deer tag for that part of the lincoln forest for years. Look in the monjeau point and villa madonna areas. I see turkey there quite a bit, but not sure it can be hunted.
