I got one used from an acquaintance also, and If I hunted turkeys in a place where numbers were such that I could setup more often than I hike, I'd use it constantly and probably have a flock of them. They really are in a class of their own - and pricing shows it (that's the only decoy company website I've seen with the term "financing available" on the web page).

Given my local birds resemble elk in their habits and terrain, 5+ pounds of decoy is just too much to carry.

I do have a couple dozen crappy old goose decoys and a turkey fan in the freezer though...may recruit my son, take Wilm's 'blueprint' and do a science project for distance learning

Yes on merriams, maybe on Rios... absolutely will not work on Gould’s.

my father in law found a jake decoy from a trespasser several years ago since he doesn’t turkey hunt he just put it on a fence post. I grabbed it after seeing this thread and gave it a quick paint job. I think it’s ready to go for tomorrow!

I bought a couple of their collapsible hen decoys this season. I love them. If it isn't light and collapsible I really cant use a decoy the way I hunt.
