About 4:00 this afternoon we had a lightning storm roll in and cause several fires. We were on our way home and saw one of them. We came home and ate and then drove out to see it and parked in a pullout along the highway, across from the airport. Little did we know it was going to explode like it did. They closed th road down and it took us forever to get home. All we could see was smoke in the direction of where we lived and the fire was heading that way. The first picture was taken from the end of the complex driveway and the last one was taken out along the highway. It was only a few hundred yards from the highway and about 1 mile from home. About an hour and a half later after taking the long route back, we did not know what to expect. Thankfully everything is fine and the dog was very glad to see us open the door.

LOL Tony. It is where you will be hunting when you get down here. The place where Russ downed his cow is charred black. It reached over 2700 acres today. Luckily it has a fire break (2 lane road) all the way around it.
