To all my homies on the westside

My comment is aimed at posts like this one below, not people affected by flooding. I'm not that much of an asshole...

i think i can speak for many of us that we are not happy about hunting in t shirts in december. at all.

weirdly, this year my first hunt of the fall was probably the coldest, my second hunt of the fall was actually warmer than the first, and my latest and final hunt of the year was the warmest yet. t shirts made an appearance in all three.

Thoughts to those affected. Stay safe!

Also can’t help but my mind wander to all the great waterfowl hunts I’ve had after floods when I lived in a place that seasonally flooded and occasionally had severe flooding in what was historically a flood basin. Gonna be a Widgeon banger on all that flooded habitat for the remainder of the season.

Hey, take your crap somewhere else, like Rokslide!

That’s great. I had just read a story about Western Maryland being denied FEMA assistance after catastrophic flooding this past spring.

Might have helped

We have been getting unusually heavy winter rains in NE Oregon. Thankfully during this last storm we didn’t have much snow up high. If I’m looking at the correct data the Northern cascades in Washington was also light on Snowpack for this time of year. That had to have helped some.
We are getting hit again this morning, I can only immagine what is happening west of the Cascades. Everyone around here is hoping it starts turning to snow soon. Our temperatures are finally approaching mid December numbers and we have snow mixed with rain currently at the house but we are only 3000 ft elevation.

Just got word from a buddy I fish with. His house along the Yakima is flooded, he’s heading there now but no idea if he can even reach the house. His flood insurance was cancelled last year even though he’s never been flooded before.

First row of homes in little ole Cashmere is starting to flood. We're at 37k cfs, and she's still gaining almost 1k cfs an hr, was supposed to crest last night about 10k cfs lower. All time high is 41k back in 1995.

City crew is trying to install an earthen berm along that "road" I think they're a day late and a million dollars short.
Dang, lots of good memories there.
